Terms & Conditions of Sale
PRICES
Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude VAT, delivery and Installation
LEAD TIMES
Upholstered Furniture 4 - 6 weeks (from receipt of cleared deposit) although supplier’s holidays and dispatching of fabrics can extend this.
Expected lead times will be indicated at the point of purchase and will be confirmed as soon as possible.
Shorter lead times may be available – please contact our sales team.
Other furniture – Varied lead times – please contact our sales team.
DEPOSIT
We require 50% of the total amount in cleared funds , as a non refundable deposit to process an order. (Credit cards incur 2% surcharge)
ORDER CONFIRMATION
All details and product specifications must be read carefully and clearly understood as changes can not be made once the order has been processed.
BALANCE PAYMENTS
To be cleared funds prior to delivery arrangements.
Cheques must be received at least 7 days prior to delivery.
Bankers Draft / Bank Transfer / Debit & Credit Card payments are accepted. (Credit cards incur 2% surcharge)
All balance payments must be received by The Chair People within 2 weeks of the goods arriving at our distribution warehouse. After this time frame interest costs will be charge at 2.5% + VAT of the balance remaining on a weekly basis, until the goods are paid for in full. (Weeks run from Monday to Sunday and will be charged at a full week's rate).
DELIVERIES
Customers will be notified one week in advance of goods arriving at The Chair People distribution warehouse.
Delivery quotations are based on a tailgate delivery, unless otherwise stated.
All deliveries/collections must be arranged/accepted within 2 weeks of goods arriving at our distribution warehouse. After this time frame storage facility costs will be charged at £1.20 + VAT per cubic metre on a weekly basis. (Weeks run from Monday to Sunday and will be charged at a full week's rate).
Extra charges incurred from changes to delivery arrangements, will be paid in full by the customer.
The Chair People will not be held liable for storage costs due to project delays.
DAMAGES
Deliveries by The Chair People / Collections from The Chair People
Customers are responsible for checking the goods at the time of delivery or collection.
Damaged or missing goods must be reported to us within 2 working days.
Outside carrier terms and conditions apply separately to this.
GUARANTEE
We offer a one-year guarantee against manufacturing faults on all products.
