From the moment we receive your design preferences, there may be several steps before placing your order:
- Receiving your complimentary fabric samples, if required
- Personalised quotations tailored to your choices
- The Bum Test – viewing your chosen models of interest, if required
If you already know the exact models and fabrics you’d like, and do not require the Bum Test, your journey can be significantly shortened, allowing you to place your bespoke order more quickly.
How Long Will My Order Take?
All made to order furniture from The Chair People is typically delivered within 9 to 13 weeks from the date of order.
This lead time reflects the bespoke nature of our furniture and already includes where your order sits within our production cycle. It also takes into account whether your chosen fabrics require additional treatments to meet British Standard fire regulations, which can form part of the normal manufacturing process.
Your design advisor will always confirm your expected lead time before your order is placed, so you have full clarity and no surprises.
What Affects Lead Times & What to Expect
In some cases, factors beyond our standard lead times may affect delivery. These can include delivery to more remote locations, where transport schedules may be less frequent, or situations where a chosen fabric is temporarily out of stock with the supplier at the time of ordering. Should this happen, your design advisor will discuss the available options with you.
Once your payment is processed, you will receive a full order confirmation along with a delivery contact date. From there, everything is underway, and we will contact you by the date provided to arrange your delivery.
