Many of our models come with optional upgrades and finishing touches that allow you to personalise your bespoke furniture even further. These enhancements vary depending on the model, but below is a guide to what may be available during your design journey.
Leg Finish Options
All of our bespoke chairs are crafted with solid beech wood frames as standard, available in a range of different wood finishes to suit your style. For those seeking an elevated option, selected models can also be upgraded to solid oak.
RAL Leg Finishes
On all models, leg finishes can be specified in a selection of RAL Classic colours, providing a wide palette of internationally recognised shades. This allows you to customise your chairs or bar stools to perfectly coordinate with your existing décor or achieve a specific design vision. Availability of RAL Classic colour options depends on the chosen model, and our team can guide you through the options to ensure the best match for your interior scheme.

Beading
Certain models can be specified with decorative metal beading, adding a refined and distinctive detail. Where available, beading can be applied in either:

This feature is compatible with select models as an upgrade option and comes as standard on our Blenheim collection. Beading offers an elegant edge that can work with both contemporary and traditional spaces, depending on the overall styling.
Height Options
At The Chair People, our standard bar stool seat height is 700mm – a versatile choice that suits most kitchen islands and breakfast bar counters, offering both comfort and legroom.
Additional seat heights are available on selected bar stool models, including 650mm, 750mm, and 800mm, are available on request for an extra charge. While the overall stool height changes, the seat-to-footrest distance remains consistent for comfort.
